About John

John is Director of Influential Software Services Ltd, where he leads the company’s day-to-day operations. With a background in computer science and over 30 years of experience in the technology sector, John is passionate about helping organisations leverage digital transformation to achieve their goals.

John has been involved in all aspects of IT management and operations from support to software development as well as recruitment and training; also making several business acquisitions along the way.

Outside of work, he enjoys travel, often looking for new delicacies to enjoy along the way and watching his beloved Arsenal FC across Europe. He is also a keen runner, angler and martial artist (all at ‘endeavour’ level).

A father of 4 (2 sons, 1 daughter and a dog), he can often be spotted yomping across the North Downs with his wife, Susanna and Betty the Cockapoo, then enjoying the delights of his local Bearsted Green afterwards.

Having partaken in sponsored challenges for various charities in recent years, John wanted to find a new way of helping and was delighted to be asked about becoming a Trustee at Demelza. He aims to bring some of his business and management experience to help supplement the amazing work that goes on there.
