Our Celebration of Christmas at the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral is back for its 21st year. Join us for a special evening of magical candlelight, festive readings and timeless carols from guest choirs, as well as the outstanding Canterbury Cathedral Choir.

Immerse yourself in a heart-warming evening of candlelit carols, captivating celebrity readings, and appearances by special guests, all whilst supporting Demelza’s extraordinary work this Christmas.

Accessibility

This event is wheelchair accessible.

If you requested an accessible seat, we will contact you if we need any additional information. If you have not told us about any accessibility requirements, please contact us as soon as possible. We will not be able to make any adjustments on the day if you have not informed us in advance.

Parking

There is no parking available at the Cathedral, you will need to use public transport or a local car parking facility.

Timings

The doors to the Cathedral will open at 7pm, the Celebration of Christmas will begin promptly at 7:30pm and will conclude at approximately 9pm.

Please be aware if you arrive after 7.30pm, you may not be able to sit in your allocated seat.

Other Information 

Canterbury Cathedral can be cold at this time of year, so please do wrap up warm. 

All tickets have been pre-allocated, when you arrive a member of the team will direct you to your seats. 

Due to the nature of this event including the venue and timings, it is unsuitable for children to attend the Celebration of Christmas.

FAQ's

Unfortunately, we are unable to allow guests to choose their seats.  Seating is allocated on a first come, first serve basis, based within the tier you have purchased.

If you are booking as a group, we recommend you book these tickets at the same time to avoid your booking being separated. If you add additional tickets to your booking, there is no guarantee that these will be seated together. If you wish to do this, we recommend you contact us first to enquire if seating your booking together is possible.


Canterbury Cathedral does have toilet facilities which are located outside the Cathedral near the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge Hotel.


Unfortunately, there is not any parking at the Cathedral, there are plenty of car parks in the vicinity.


Physical tickets will be sent to you prior to the event. They will arrive approximately two weeks before the event. If you book tickets closer to event date, you may need to collect them on the door.


When registering, you will be able to let us know if you have any accessibility requirements. A member of the team will call you prior to the event to ensure that we have all the information we need to assist you on the evening.
