About Aishah

Aishah has worked in a variety of roles across marketing, comms and income generation for the third sector since 2006, for organisations within health care, international aid and social welfare. She is currently the Head of Public Fundraising at the British Refugee Council. Aishah’s background in social anthropology and international development helped her grow her passion for communicating in personal ways to influence change and raise vital funds. She has enjoyed fundraising from a very young age completing swimathons and washing cars for donations, then progressing on to doing a skydive for the National Deaf Children’s Society, running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the Royal National Institute of Blind and completing the Great Wall of China Trek for Scope.

Aishah enjoys mentoring future leaders in the charity sector, taking pride in her leadership skills and role modelling for working mums, Muslims and South Asians. She is also a Trustee for a college in Cambridge.

Aishah grew up in Medway and now lives a stone’s throw away from our hospice in Sittingbourne with her husband, 3 young children and 2 cats.
