About Paula

Paula has a clinical background as a Registered Nurse 40 years experience in both the NHS and charity sector including hospice care. She has a passion for excellent palliative and end of life care. She has extensive leadership experience and has held executive leadership roles within the hospice sector and the NHS. Before taking early retirement from the NHS Paula was the Executive Chief Nurse for Kent and Medway CCG with responsibilities that included being the health lead for both the Kent and the Medway safeguarding partnerships. Following retirement she undertook an interim Chief Executive Officer role for a Kent Hospice for adults and children.

Paula is committed to partnership working to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families and has been recognised for her work transforming services. She also has a sound understanding of the many challenges facing the hospice sector.

Paula has strong links in Kent having lived here for the past 35 years, she is married with two adult children.
