Meet Claire Ellis-Waghorn
Claire has over 20 years’ experience working in the charity sector, focusing on fundraising in healthcare and hospice, and joined Demelza in 2017 as Head of Fundraising, and progressing to Deputy Director of Fundraising. During this time, Claire focussed on disciplines including Individual Giving (including In Memory and Legacy), data and analytics, Supporter Services, Trusts, and Corporate Partnerships.
When the opportunity arose to change focus to Digital Transformation for the organisation in 2021, Claire took on the lead role in Business Development and Support, focusing on business improvement, IT, and organisational governance. In 2023, Claire was appointed to the role of Director of Business Development and Support.
There’s nothing Claire enjoys more than solving a problem or a puzzle and supporting her colleagues across the organisation to streamline and improve systems and processes.
