Meet Claire Ellis-Waghorn

Claire Ellis-Waghorn joined Demelza in 2015 as Head of Fundraising, progressing to Deputy Director of Fundraising two years later. During this time, Claire led on Individual Giving, including In Memory and Legacy fundraising, Supporter Services, Trusts, and Corporate Partnerships, whilst also focusing on data and analytics.

When the opportunity arose to drive digital transformation for the organisation in 2021, Claire took on the role of Deputy Director of Business Development and Support, focusing on business improvement, IT, and organisational governance. She joined Demelza’s senior leadership team in 2023 when she took on her current role as Director of IT, Data and Governance. Claire’s 20 years’ experience in the charity sector has proved invaluable to Demelza.
