The London Golf Club chose Demelza as its Charity of the year for 2024 and has held two fundraising days, raising over £66,000.
The events were held on the Heritage course at the club, with around 160 people over the two days enjoying a breakfast, 18 holes of golf, a two-course dinner and activities including a raffle and auction.
Guests at this week’s event could also take advantage of a visit from Club-Clean, a valet service which offers ultrasonic club cleaning facilities while golfers in May enjoyed a trick shot challenge with golfing showman Jeremy Dale.
Across the two days, more than £66,000 was raised for Demelza, which could fund two nurses for a year.
Philanthropy Manager Alison Mulford said: “We’re very grateful to the London Golf Club for choosing Demelza as Charity of the Year and hosting two fundraising events.
“The golf days are always an enjoyable occasion, with the classic Jack Nicklaus course forcing players to consider every shot.
“We’re delighted with the amount raised for Demelza and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and donated so generously.
“We’d also like to thank this year’s sponsors; MEMS, GKR Scaffolding, Reliable Contractors and GTi Travel. These days wouldn’t be possible without the support of our fantastic sponsors.”
