Over £120,000 raised by Demelza Marathon Runners

The team, made up of supporters, corporate partners, families and colleagues tackled 26.2 miles in an amazing show of support for Demelza. One participant, Wayne completed the marathon in a wheelchair to show his daughter Esme, who is supported by Demelza, that anything can be achieved.

Will from corporate partner LGT Wealth Management said 'Having visited Demelza through LGT, we were able to see first hand the great work that goes on. This provided added motivation through training and fundraising, knowing that the funds were going to a worthwhile cause.

Additionally, whilst she didn’t stay with Demelza, I had a young cousin that passed away through cancer, and the hospice that treated her were magnificent, so it had an extra personal meaning for me and my family.

The marathon itself was very hard - no matter how you prepare, those final 6 miles are brutal, but the support from Demelza was brilliant - a real bucket list experience completed!

Through fundraising efforts, over £120,000 has been raised which will help to ensure we can continue being there for the families who need us the most.
