The route - 3 days - 200 miles - 1250m elevation
Departing from London, the journey begins aboard the Eurostar to Brussels, the vibrant heart of Belgium. Here, you'll collect your bike and embark on an unforgettable adventure. The first stage takes you along the Scheldt River, covering 70 miles of scenic beauty on the way to Ghent. From there, you'll follow the serene Gent-Bruges Canal, eventually arriving in the charming and picturesque town of Bruges.
Setting off from Bruges, you'll embark on the second 70 mile scenic route, heading towards Dunkirk, where history and coastal beauty intertwine. As you approach Dunkirk, the landscapes opens up in to sea views, from here you'll head towards Calais.
It's then a morning ferry crossing, arriving in Dover ready for the last 50 miles back through the picturesque Kent countryside before arriving at the ultimate destination, Demelza Kent, where you'll cross the finish line and we'll celebrate your incredible personal achievement and the amazing impact your efforts will have on Demelza.
Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely! We are happy for anyone to use an e-bike, however due to the nature of the challenge we would recommend using a road bike or hybrid bike, not a mountain bike.

*In order to confirm your place on the challenge, we require 60% of your fundraising to be with Demelza 12 weeks before the challenge

All dinners, there will not be a set dinner on the final day of cycling (the arrival at Demelza Kent)
Snacks, drinks and nutrition are provided during the cycle
The route is approximately 200 miles and there is a daily average of 50-70 miles. There is approximately 1250m of climbing during the challenge.
The exact route will be confirmed nearer the time.
Due to the nature of the challenge we would recommend using a road bike or hybrid bike, not a mountain bike.
All rooms are twin occupancy, if you would like to request a single room, you can do this when you book, this will be subject to availability and there will be an additional charge.
Bike transportation is included, we will share details on this closer to the time.

In order to confirm your place on the challenge, we require 60% of your fundraising to be with Demelza 12 weeks before the challenge. The remaining 40% can be raised after this time period and up to a month after the event.
