Starting at the iconic Cheesegrater, take on a 10 mile challenge through the City of London and Greenwich before finishing at our Eltham Hospice.

Miles in May 2025 Route

 

Starting at The Leadenhall Building in London, you will be walking 10 miles through the City of London passing Tower Bridge before hitting the start of the Thames Path North Bank Section 3.

You'll follow the iconic Thames Path passing by the sculpture of the Girl with a Dolphin, strolling through St. Katharine's Dock and on to Hermitage gardens.

As the walk continues, you'll take in the views of Canary Wharf as you head towards the north side of the Greenwich foot tunnel.

Making your way through the tunnel you'll arrive at the Cutty Sark. Moving towards Blackheath before your final leg on to the Eltham Hospice where you will be greeted by Team Demelza staff members.

Frequently Asked Questions

Miles in May starts at The Leadenhall Building, the iconic Cheesegrater, in central London.


This event is aimed at our current corporate partners and SME's and those looking to support Demelza.


We welcome you to bring your fury friends, however, please note you must ensure they are on a lead at all times and they will not be able to enter the hospice at the end.


Registration is at 12.30pm with a prompt start at 1pm. If you arrive after 1pm we cannot guarantee you will be able to partake in the event.


The walk will end at our Demelza Hospice in Eltham, where you will receive a celebratory drink. From here, there are various transport links including Eltham train station.


We encourage you to take breaks as required however, anyone seen to be consuming alcohol will not be able to continue with the group. There will be a refreshment point shortly after the foot tunnel and at the end of the walk.
