Gifts from Charitable Trusts and Foundations make a huge difference to the babies, children, young people and their families we work with, helping us to provide the care, support, advice and facilities they need, and we are so grateful to everyone who chooses to donate to us.
By supporting us you are funding our expert nursing care and vital services such as family support and creative therapies, as well as helping us buy specialist equipment, run projects, and keep our essential services running for children and young people with serious or terminal conditions.
Charitable Trusts and Foundations
At Demelza, grants and donations from Charitable Trusts and Foundations play an important part in enabling us to deliver vital advice, care and support to children and families when they need us the most.
Every single gift directly benefits the children and families we work with, helping them to make precious memories to cherish and have the best life possible, for however long that might be. Every grant or donation, no matter how large or small, is hugely appreciated, and every Trust and Foundation we work with is very special to us.
How you can support Demelza’s work
Your donation can make a real impact on the lives of children with serious or terminal conditions and their families, by;
Supporting our Creative Therapy sessions
Covering the cost of essential equipment like hoists, oxygen condensers or suction machines
Funding one of our experienced specialist Nurses or Health Care Assistants
Donating towards our core costs, so we can keep our services running
We are overjoyed that we are one of the charities benefitting from a Sussex NHS Charities Together Community Partnerships grant, led by Heads On Charity.
Lavinia Jarrett, Acting Chief Executive at Demelza, has said: “This is fantastic news – a huge thank you goes out to Heads On for this funding. This grant will help in providing vital care when and where families most need it.”
Kent Community Foundation and Albert Burns Children's Trust Fund
Recently celebrating its 20th anniversary, Kent Community Foundation has distributed over £50 million to support thousands of small charities and community groups across the county. One of the many funds it manages is the Albert Burns Children’s Trust Fund, which has generously given to Demelza since it was established in 2014.

Making grants to charity projects which make a positive difference in local communities, Morrisons Foundation first supported Demelza in 2016 and has gone on to fund vital projects including refurbishing our playground at Demelza Kent, an interactive projection system for Demelza SEL and end of life equipment for Demelza East Sussex.
