Here at Demelza we are extremely fortunate to be supported by dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy across all areas of the charity. This week it's a time to say thank you - and celebrate the vital contribution that our volunteers and volunteers across the country make.

Volunteers Week | Carol's Story
“Demelza has such a special place in our hearts. It’s such a wonderful, caring, happy place and I hope we can bring a little bit of happiness with what we contribute”.
As we celebrate Volunteers Week and the 25th year of Demelza, volunteer Carol shares the part she has played since we opened in 1998 and how supporting Demelza is very much a family affair.

"There is such good fun at the Eltham shop...we regularly go out for meals, and when I did the skydive lots of the team came to cheer me on! A huge thank you goes to Demelza for making my life even more rewarding!"

Our families gratitude
When a family is dealing with a serious or life-limiting condition, it can be challenging to keep on top of day-to-day tasks. Here at Demelza our volunteers help with a range of activities, ensuring that families can focus on taking care of their child and making memories.
One way they offer support is by providing transport to families...families like Zak's who received this support when they needed it most. Every role our volunteers play is much appreciated by our families and makes such an impact.
